Islamabad: We do not recognize Israel

PNN – In response to the controversial trip of some of the country’s journalists to occupied Palestine, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry stressed that according to Pakistani law, traveling to Israel is illegal, saying: Pakistan firmly supports the establishment of the state of Palestine and will never recognize the Israeli regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Public Relations Office of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the Islamabad government is seriously investigating the recent trip of some Pakistani journalists to occupied Palestine and states that Pakistani passports are not valid for travel to Israel and that this trip is considered an illegal act.

A statement from the Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman said: According to existing regulations, such a visit is not possible, therefore, Pakistan’s position towards Israel remains unchanged and we do not recognize this regime.

Shafqat Ali Khan emphasized: Pakistan firmly supports the legitimate rights of the Palestinians, including the establishment of an independent and sustainable Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.

He added: Pakistan reiterates its unwavering commitment to a just and peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Palestinian people.
