According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Russia Today, the Pakistani army issued a statement announcing the start of its military operation in response to Indian attacks. The operation has been named Operation Basis of Peace.
Previously, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, had used this name for its 51-day battle with the Zionist regime in 2014.
The name is taken from verse 4 of Surah As-Saff in the Holy Quran.
