Metro Service disrupted : Check routes here before traveling today

ISLAMABAD – Metro Bus service in federal capital, Islamabad, and Rawapindi city is currently experiencing partial suspension amid violent protests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

As of Monday morning, route from Saddar Station to Faizabad in twin city of Rawalpindi remains operational, while service from Faizabad to Secretariat remains completely shut down due to directives from the federal administration.

In provincial capital Lahore, the situation has been similarly affected. Recent protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party led to limited operations of Metro bus service.

Over the weekend, route from Gaju Matta to the MAO college Stop was available for commute, while services between MAO and Shahdara have been suspended.

Authorities are advising commuters to plan their travel accordingly as the situation develops. Further updates on the status of the Metro bus service are expected as the district administrations continue to monitor the situation.

On Sunday, police removed road blockades and containers in the metropolitan. All city roads, including Eastern Bypass, were reopened, allowing smooth traffic flow. The barricades were initially set up to prevent the protest, which focused on rising prices and calls for the release of the PTI founder and judicial independence.
