ISLAMABAD – National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on Friday, declared the Parliament Lodges as a sub-jail for 10 arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers, following their detention for allegedly violating the new public gathering law.

The NA speaker directed the necessary proceedings to declare the Parliament Lodges as a sub-jail.

The arrested members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) National Assembly will be held at the Parliament Lodges. All detained members have signed the required forms, and they will be moved to the Parliament Lodges today.

Upon receiving the request, the speaker consulted with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and after consultation, approved PTI’s request for the detained members.
