Operation Radd-ul-Fitna: Mirak Khan Chakrani, 25 others surrender

PNN: A group of 25 criminals, terrorists and looters led by Mirak Khan Chakrani operating in Balochistan have surrendered to Pakistani authorities. They have handed over a large cache of weapons and ammunition.

The group had been involved in a series of robberies and extortion activities across the region and surrendered after the efforts of security forces and brother of Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Aftab Bugti.

Chakrani, who previously held a prominent position within the group, turned himself in and also announced his decision to join the Chakrani Peace Force, aimed at countering extremist elements in the region.

This shift marks a key moment in the ongoing security efforts in Balochistan, which have been under focus due to increasing tensions in the region. The successful surrender is being seen as an important milestone in Operation Radd-ul-Fitna, a security initiative aimed at eliminating extremist violence in the area.

Operation Radd-ul-Fitna

Operation Radd-ul-Fitna has been a focal point of security operations in Balochistan, with security forces targeting various extremist and criminal elements across the province. The operation has garnered attention for its approach to dealing with militants and criminal networks that have been operating with relative impunity in Balochistan for years.

The initiative has focused on dismantling groups that are involved in insurgency and criminal activities. Security forces have reported that the operation has led to the apprehension of several key figures in terrorist organisations, as well as the significant reduction of organised criminal activities, including extortion and kidnapping for ransom.

The Balochistan IBOs (Intelligence-Based Operations) have continued to expand in scope, with officials indicating that more individuals associated with extremist factions are expected to surrender in the coming weeks. Despite challenges, the ongoing efforts have been aimed at reasserting control and restoring peace in the province.
