PNN – Responding to reports of recent diplomatic contacts between the Taliban and India, the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry stressed that Afghanistan is an independent country and Islamabad does not interfere in the bilateral relations of other countries.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, after the publication of reports about the recent contacts between the officials of the Taliban government and India, Shafaqt Ali Khan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, said in response to the reporters: Afghanistan is an independent and sovereign country and we do not comment on the bilateral relations of other countries.
He said these words in response to the question of the reporter of NNI news agency. One of the reported reports refers to the telephone conversation of “Amir Khan Motaghi”, the foreign minister of the Taliban government, with the Indian foreign minister. According to the reports, this call was accompanied by the consent of the Indian side.

The second report claims that “Sadr Ibrahim”, the deputy security officer of the Taliban government’s Ministry of Interior, secretly traveled to India; An issue that has not been confirmed or denied by India.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said about such reports: The number of ministerial visits between Afghanistan and India is a bilateral issue. We respect Afghanistan as a neighboring, independent and sovereign country. At the same time, we expect the Afghan government not to use its territory against Pakistan.
Previously, Rana Sanaullah, the senior advisor of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in a meeting with journalists, while expressing security concerns, warned that Pakistan will no longer tolerate terrorism.
He stressed that agents affiliated with the Afghan Taliban and Indian intelligence in Pakistan would face decisive and strict action.
Sanaullah also said Pakistan considered the Taliban to be India’s accomplices in supporting anti-government militants in Islamabad.
