Pakistan and Saudi leaders meet in Mecca; Support for a just solution to the Palestinian issue

PNN – During his official visit to Saudi Arabia, the Pakistani Prime Minister met with the country’s Crown Prince in the city of Mecca, emphasizing the need for lasting peace in South Asia and expressing concern about the situation in Gaza, saying: Islamabad will continue to unwaveringly support a just solution to the Palestinian issue.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Public Relations Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, along with his high-ranking delegation, met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Mecca today.

They agreed to further enhance the strategic cooperation between the two countries in line with the shared vision and aspirations of each other’s nations.

The leaders of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also emphasized their mutual commitment to deepening multilateral relations. In this regard, Shahbaz Sharif invited Mohammed bin Salman for an official visit to Pakistan, which the Saudi Crown Prince accepted.

They also held detailed discussions on the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and emphasized the need to fulfill the international community’s moral and legal obligations.

Shahbaz Sharif and Bin Salman renewed their unwavering support for a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue, in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The Pakistani prime minister appreciated what he called Riyadh’s active role in the recent tensions in South Asia and its firm commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region and beyond.

He emphasized Pakistan’s policy of restraint and responsibility in the face of Indian aggression, adding that lasting peace in South Asia can only be achieved through dialogue.
