According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from the public relations office of the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the new sanctions of the United States of America against the National Development Organization of Pakistan and its 3 commercial entities have caused a strong reaction from the government of Islamabad.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan described these sanctions as unfortunate and a biased move and announced in its statement: The purpose of Pakistan’s strategic capabilities is to defend the country’s sovereignty and maintain peace and stability in South Asia. The latest US sanctions aimed at intensifying military asymmetry in the region challenge peace and security, so such policies have dangerous consequences for the strategic stability of the region and beyond.
