PNN – Confirming the arrest of the mastermind of the deadly attack on Kabul airport, who was extradited to the United States by Islamabad, according to the US President, the Pakistani Prime Minister said that this operational commander of ISIS Khorasan is an Afghan citizen.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that his country wanted to work closely with the United States for regional peace and stability, following US President Donald Trump’s remarks on Pakistan’s arrest of an ISIS element involved in the deadly attack on Kabul airport.
Shahbaz Sharif wrote today in a message on his official account on the X social network: In a successful operation, the operational commander of the terrorist group ISIS Khorasan, Sharifullah, an Afghan citizen, was arrested near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

He added: Pakistan’s war against all forms and manifestations of terrorism will continue with full force, and our belief is to immediately prevent any terrorist act or stop the use of one country’s territory against other countries.
Sharif stated that the US President appreciated Pakistan’s action and we also emphasize that the resolve and determination of the Pakistani government and armed forces in the war against terrorism is unwavering.
He added: In this regard, Pakistan wants to continue close cooperation with the United States for regional peace and security.
It is worth noting that 60 people were killed and 140 injured in two suicide bombings in front of Kabul airport. 13 US soldiers were killed and 15 others were injured in these explosions. ISIS claimed responsibility for them.
