Pakistan: New Year celebrations in solidarity with Palestine are not held in this country

PNN – The Prime Minister of Pakistan announced in a message addressed to the people of his country: Due to the shocking situation in Gaza and the continuation of the crimes of the occupying Israeli regime, the government of Pakistan to express solidarity with Palestine, the New Year celebrations will not be held in the country.

According to Pakistan News Network’s report from Pakistan National Television on Thursday night, in a message on the eve of 2024, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar asked the public of Pakistan to observe solidarity and simplicity with the oppressed people of Gaza at the beginning of the new year.

He added: All the people of Pakistan and the Islamic Ummah are deeply offended by the genocide of the oppressed Palestinians, especially the killing of innocent children in Gaza and the West Bank.

The prime minister of the interim government of Pakistan noted that since October 7, more than 21,000 innocent Palestinians have been martyred by the brutal Israeli regime, and a large number of them (about 9,000) are innocent children.

He said: Pakistan has raised its voice in all international forums to stop the bloodshed of Israel in defense of the oppressed Palestinians and will continue to do so in the future.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar announced: Pakistan has sent two shipments of humanitarian aid to its Palestinian brothers and sisters, and the third shipment will be sent soon.

He said: “The government of Pakistan is in close contact with Egypt and Jordan to provide timely aid to the Palestinians in addition to the transfer of the wounded from Gaza and their treatment.”

In its latest statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced that the number of martyrs of the war in Gaza since October 7 is 21,320 and the number of injured is 55,603.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups started the operation called “Al-Aqsa Storm” from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, after 45 days of fighting and fighting, (November 24, 2023) between Israel and Hamas, a four-day temporary truce or the same pause established for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally (December 1, 2023) the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.

In today’s joint meeting, the commanders of the Pakistani army, while expressing full solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation regime, demanded a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
