PNN – A Pakistani military spokesman denied the Taliban’s claim about the country’s airstrikes in eastern Afghanistan and stressed that no official military operations have been carried out on Afghan soil.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Pakistani army spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in response to Taliban claims about the country’s airstrikes in Afghanistan, said that no military operations were carried out by Pakistan on Afghan soil. The Taliban had previously announced that nine children and a woman were killed in these attacks.

Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, he added that any official operations by the Pakistani government would be made public and that there were no covert military activities.

Chaudhry also called on the Taliban government to take effective measures against terrorist sanctuaries on Afghan soil, emphasizing: Until such measures are taken, dialogue between the two sides will not be possible.

The Pakistani army spokesman also emphasized the importance of combating smuggling networks and cross-border crimes and preventing the spread of anti-government narratives on foreign social media.

He added: The people and armed forces of Pakistan are united against terrorists, and the pursuit of terrorists will continue until the last breath.

Responding to reporters’ questions about the court-martial case of retired Major General Faiz Hamid, former commander of Pakistan’s military intelligence agency (ISI), Chaudhry stressed that the judicial process is ongoing and people should refrain from spreading rumors. Details of the case will be released after the verdict is issued.

Pakistan and Afghanistan have faced shared border challenges and terrorist threats in recent years. The Taliban have sometimes accused Pakistan of carrying out airstrikes and border operations, but Islamabad has consistently denied these allegations and called on the Taliban to take practical action against armed groups on Afghan soil.
