Pakistan welcomes Arab countries’ plan for Gaza reconstruction

PNN – The Pakistani Prime Minister welcomed the Arab countries’ plan to rebuild Gaza and rejected any forced displacement of Palestinians from their ancestral homeland.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Shahbaz Sharif wrote on his official account on the X social network: We welcome the Arab countries’ agreement with Egypt’s plan for the reconstruction of Gaza and their firm rejection of any plan to displace Palestinians from their land.

He also emphasized Pakistan’s position on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, a return to the pre-1967 borders, and the designation of Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister announced the Arab countries’ plan to temporarily administer the Gaza Strip by figures from within the region. Badr Abdel Ati said: At the Arab Summit, a vision was raised about forming a committee to manage Gaza affairs for a specific period of time and to be led by figures from the region.

He stressed that 100 countries will participate in the Gaza reconstruction conference scheduled to be held in Cairo next month. The meeting will be at the ministerial level and will be held in cooperation with the United Nations.

While Trump’s plan sought to give the United States control over the Gaza Strip and relocate Gaza residents to other Arab countries, Egypt’s plan relies on rebuilding Gaza without displacing Palestinians. According to the Arab countries’ plan, seven areas are to be created to temporarily house more than 1.5 million Palestinians, with residents living in prefabricated houses.

This year, the spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry called Donald Trump’s plan to take over Gaza “very worrying and unjust,” emphasizing that the land of Palestine belongs only to the Palestinians.
