Pakistani court judges were threatened with envelopes containing suspicious powder

PNN – The discovery of envelopes containing suspicious powder in the office of the chief judges of the Supreme Court in the capital of Pakistan caused concern to the security and judicial officials of this country.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Pakistan’s news channels, the officials of the Chief Justice of Islamabad’s Supreme Court received some envelopes today and found out that suspicious powder was inside them.

In response to the sending of suspicious envelopes, the Chief Justice of Islamabad, while calling the security and law enforcement officials, stated that it seems to be a threatening action against the judges.

Judge Umar Farooq emphasized that Islamabad High Court has been threatened.

Pakistan’s Geo News Network announced that one of the officials of the Supreme Court Judges’ Office noticed the suspicious powder after opening one of the envelopes and his eyes started burning.

Receiving envelopes containing powder in the Islamabad High Court while it is reported that 6 judges of this court complained in a letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan last week about the interference of the security and intelligence agencies in the judicial process and putting pressure on the judges.
