PNN – Coinciding with the national day of mourning in Pakistan, mourning the martyrdom of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his accompanying delegation in the helicopter crash, the Deputy President of Pakistan, while attending the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad, expressed his condolences to the nation and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Seyyed Yousef Reza Gilani was welcomed by Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam and a group of our country’s diplomats upon his arrival at the embassy of our country in Islamabad.
In a conversation with the Iranian ambassador, he expressed his deep sorrow over the heartbreaking death of Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran and his companions, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and said: Today all the people of Pakistan are mourning because Pakistan lost a dear brother and friend.
The vice president of Pakistan also signed the memorial book for the martyrs of the helicopter crash carrying the president and his entourage.
It should be mentioned that according to the approval of the cabinet, the government of Pakistan announced a day of national mourning in mourning the martyrdom of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his delegation. Today, the flag of Pakistan is at half-mast in Islamabad and the centers of 4 states of this country. The state governments in Sindh and Balochistan have also declared today a day of public mourning following the central government.
Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the 8th President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who had an air accident on his way back from the opening ceremony of the Qiz Qalasi Dam to the city of Tabriz, in the Varzghan region of East Azerbaijan province, along with all his companions, at the same time as the night of the birth of Imam Reza (a.s) achieved the position of martyrdom.
Ayatollah Al-Hashem, representative of the Grand Jury and Friday Imam of Tabriz, Hossein Amirabdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malik Rahmati, Governor of East Azerbaijan, Sergeant Seyed Mehdi Mousavi, Commander of the President’s Protection Unit, and a number of bodyguards and helicopter crew were among the passengers of the helicopter carrying the President.
