PNN – Simultaneously with the call of the leaders of the opposition faction in Pakistan to hold demonstrations in this country, strict security measures were taken in various cities, especially Islamabad, and the Pakistani government warned against any violation of laws by the opposition.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the atmosphere of different cities of Pakistan, including Islamabad, the capital of this country, has been secured since last night, and according to the announcement of law enforcement officials, any gathering or march has been prohibited.
A year ago, the unexpected arrest of the ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan and the leader of the Justice Movement Party (PTI) led to the uproar of his supporters in various cities and the situation turned into a conflict between the protesters and the security forces, and finally unprecedented riots, attacks on some Military sites and destruction of national symbols and armed forces went.
The Pakistani government and army accuse the officials of Imran Khan’s party, including himself, of managing the riots last year. Imran Khan’s party considers this incident as a ploy to suppress its leaders and exclude Imran Khan and his supporters from the political scene of Pakistan.
Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, who is in prison in connection with several financial and security corruption cases, announced in a message yesterday that his party has not committed any law-breaking and he is not willing to apologize for what he did not commit.
At the same time, the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, through messages, considered May 9 as the darkest day in the history of this country and emphasized that all the people who played a role in last year’s events will be severely punished according to the law.
