PNN – Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced his country’s readiness for counter-terrorism talks with the Afghan government, calling the Pakistani Taliban the red line of Islamabad and urged Kabul to implement a clear strategy against terrorism.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Pakistan National TV, Shahbaz Sharif, speaking at today’s government cabinet meeting in Islamabad, once again reiterated his country’s position regarding the use of terrorist elements from the territory of Afghanistan to attack Pakistan.
He stated that the development of relations with Afghanistan and the spread of terrorism at the same time is not acceptable and Islamabad will never compromise on the security of its people and country.
According to Shahbaz Sharif, Afghanistan’s soil is still being used against its neighbors and elements of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan are involved in planning attacks on security forces and killing innocent people in Pakistan.

He warned: Pakistan will not tolerate the continuation of terrorism originating in Afghanistan, so we ask Kabul to formulate and implement a specific strategy against terrorism.
According to this report, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan yesterday confirmed the country’s recent operation against what he called the shelters of the terrorist group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in Afghanistan and said: We respect the sovereignty of Afghanistan and we believe in diplomacy and interaction with this neighboring country.
He emphasized: Pakistan’s operation was based on clear evidence and accurate information about the presence of terrorist elements, a group that was involved in many terrorist attacks against security forces and civilians inside Pakistan.
Following Pakistan’s air attack on Afghanistan, Pakistan’s Chargé d’affaires was summoned to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs last Wednesday, and Kabul’s strong protest was communicated to him.
Kabul claims that a large number of civilians died as a result of Pakistan’s air operations in Afghanistan on Tuesday night, but security sources in Islamabad say that these attacks were carried out against the shelters of the terrorist group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, during which dozens of members of this group were killed.
