PNN – During his official visit to Riyadh, the Pakistan Army Commander met with the Saudi Crown Prince and some senior Saudi military officials and discussed regional developments, strengthening strategic and security cooperation.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from the public relations of the Pakistan Army, General Syed Asim Munir met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, in Riyadh.
He also had separate meetings with the Saudi defense minister, the commanders of the air and ground forces, and the chief of the general staff of the country’s army.

The Pakistan Army’s public relations statement said: General Asim Munir discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including regional peace, joint cooperation and strengthening of strategic relations, during these meetings.
They also emphasized the expansion of defense and security cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have been close allies for decades. The two countries hold several joint military exercises throughout the year. For example, last September and October, the joint exercises known as “Al-Tabar-1” and “Sand Armor 2024” were held with the presence of Saudi forces and hosted by Pakistan.
Strengthening defense relations with the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf is a part of Islamabad’s strategic and defense plans.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said earlier this year that his country is determined to accelerate the delivery of a $5 billion investment package to Pakistan.
