According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from the public relations statement of the Pakistan Army, according to the ruling of the Supreme Court of this country, an extensive investigation was conducted regarding the connection of General (retired) Faiz Hamid, the former head of the Army Intelligence Organization, with the settlement financial corruption case, and as a result, disciplinary measures were taken against the violator in accordance with military laws.
It is stated in this statement: The former chief of the army’s intelligence organization committed numerous violations of the army’s laws after his retirement, so his trial has been started in the military court and Faiz Hamid has been detained.
The term of service of General Faiz Hameed as the head of the ISI organization as the powerful intelligence and security agency of Pakistan has ended. He was then appointed as the new commander of the army forces in the city of Peshawar.
Imran Khan wanted to extend the term of Faiz Hamid and this issue created an unprecedented controversy between the army and the government of this country at the time, and finally Imran Khan was forced to withdraw from his decision and General Nadim Anjam (the current head of the ISI) replaced Faiz Hamid.
