PNN – The international conference on the education of girls in Islamic societies and the examination of the challenges and opportunities facing it, hosted by the government of Pakistan and attended by delegations from the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, was opened in Islamabad.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Islamabad, the two-day conference on the education of girls in Islamic societies with the participation of the World Muslim Union and the Ministry of Education of Pakistan was opened in the city of Islamabad.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif gave a speech at the opening session of this conference today. The general secretaries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the World Muslim League, 47 delegations from the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other friendly countries, along with the representatives of international organizations including UNESCO and UNICEF, are also present in this international event.

In his speech, Shahbaz Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s full support for advancing the priorities and common goals of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and at the same time making it more effective as the collective voice of the Islamic Ummah in the direction of promoting girls’ right to education and empowering women.
According to this report, during this conference, speakers and members of various roundtables are supposed to share successful and transformative experiences in protecting girls’ right to education and introduce innovative approaches to advance educational justice.
The closing meeting of this event will be held tomorrow Sunday with the signing of the “Islamabad Declaration” by the participating delegations.
