PNN – The Prime Minister of Pakistan announced the commitment of the World Bank to provide a loan of 20 billion dollars for that country under the framework of a 10-year program.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from the public relations of the Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif today welcomed the decision of the World Bank to approve the loan program of 20 billion dollars for Pakistan.
He stated that the World Bank loan will be under the framework of country participation for a period of 10 years, which will focus on 6 key areas, including children’s nutrition, quality of education, clean energy, and control of the climate challenge, inclusive development and private investment.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan appreciated the role of the army chief of his country to help strengthen Pakistan’s foundation and enable it to join the framework of national partnership and said: Economic transformation is the main priority of the government and the loan program of the World Bank is also in line with it.
This year, the International Monetary Fund approved a seven billion dollar loan to Islamabad after months of negotiations with the government of Pakistan and the country’s acceptance of the fund’s tough conditions.
According to Pakistani experts, this will be the country’s 24th loan program from the International Monetary Fund in the next three years, which will impose a heavy burden on Pakistan in the short term.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Pakistan announced that the country will receive a new loan from the International Monetary Fund and this will be the last foreign loan. The amount of foreign loans of this country has reached 133 billion dollars by September 2024.
