According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal as the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a historical event among Sunni Muslims, along with the holidays of Fitr and Qurban, is of special importance to Pakistani Muslims.
On this occasion, the streets, public and religious places and educational and government institutions have been decorated for the past few days, and like every year, 12 Rabi Awal was declared as an official holiday by the government of Pakistan.

In the Milad al-Nabi marches in Islamabad, the participants renewed their vows with the teachings of the holy book of Muslims, the Holy Quran, and strongly condemned the violation of Islamic sanctities in Western societies.
On this day, the clerics of Pakistan emphasized on the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the people also prayed for the pride of their country and the Islamic world.
It is planned to celebrate the birth of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (pbuh) under the title “Prophet of Islam (pbuh) the center of Muslim unity” with the participation of Shia and Sunni parties and groups on Sunday in Islamabad city.
The President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan also emphasized the necessity of following the instructions of the Prophet (PBUH) for the happiness of peaceful coexistence in their messages on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
They added: The teachings and way of life blessed by the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is a guiding light for all human societies, especially Muslims, so we should promote tolerance, kindness, sympathy and unity among each other by following it.
Nasser Abbas Jafari, Chairman of Pakistan Muslim Unity Party said: The Prophet’s teachings teach the mercy of a perfect life to all human societies, not only to Muslims, and there is no place for extremism, injustice and intolerance.
This political leader of Pakistan added: Shia and Sunni are two strong and inseparable arms of Islam, although the enemies of unity are trying to destroy peace and brotherhood in the Islamic world, the awakening of the Islamic Ummah against the conspiracy of the enemies, especially the arrogant powers, is inevitable.
