PNN – The veteran Pakistani politician and the leader of the Quaid Muslim League praised Shahid Raisi’s diplomacy in order to strengthen Iran-Pakistan relations, especially the defense of Palestinian ideals, and said: The operation of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the Zionist regime has conquered the hearts of Muslims and has become a source of pride for the Islamic world.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, one of the prominent political figures and the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, today, while attending the Consulate General of Iran in the city of “Lahore”, the capital of Punjab province, met with the Consul General of our country, Mehran Muwahhid Far.
Expressing regret over the martyrdom of the late President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeesi, Martyr Hossein Amirabdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs and their companions in the helicopter crash, he expressed his condolences to the nation and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who was accompanied by Shafi Hussain, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Punjab State, also signed the memorial book of martyrs of service.
This veteran Pakistani politician, recalling his trip to Iran with the then President of Pakistan to participate in the condolence ceremony of Imam Khomeini’s death, added: My presence today in the Iranian delegation is due to our heartfelt interest in the Iranian nation and the deep impression of the tragedy of the martyrdom of Raisi and his companions.
Praising the valuable services of Martyr President Raisi in consolidating the long-standing and fraternal relations between Iran and Pakistan, especially his sympathetic view on the issues of the Islamic world and above all the oppressed Palestinian nation, he said: The hearts of all of us in Pakistan, along with the Muslims of the world, are happy about the operation of Iran’s promise against Israel, and we consider this action of Iran as a source of pride for the entire Muslim world.
The leader of Muslim League Quaid emphasized the importance of continuing bilateral cooperation, especially increasing economic and trade relations, and added: We demand the operational steps of Iran and Pakistan to increase the volume of bilateral trade to the level of 10 billion dollars.
The Consul General of Iran in Lahore expressed his appreciation for the presence of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan in the representation of our country despite his old age: Martyr Raisi’s trip to Pakistan, especially his visit to Lahore, will always remain in the memory of the nations of the two countries, and we appreciate the magnificent welcome of the Punjab state government and the people of Lahore to martyr Raisi.
Muwahhid far added: The absence of president Raisi is very difficult for the Iranian nation, but with the grace of God, we will soon pass this stage and the great nation of Iran will soon elect its new president.
He said: Martyr Raisi’s historic visit to Pakistan has provided a new chapter in the good relations between the two countries, and Iran is ready to open new avenues of cooperation, especially with the state of Punjab.
