PNN – The President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Dr. Masoud Pezishkiyan on the victory of Iran’s presidential election and expressed his hope that the relations between the two brotherly countries will become stronger in the new period.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from the public relations of the Presidential Palace of Pakistan in Islamabad, Asif Ali Zardari said: I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart on your election as the new president of Iran.
He added: The Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan have fraternal relations and we hope that our relations will become stronger during your presidency.
Zardari emphasized that he is looking forward to cooperation with the elected people of Iran for peace and prosperity in the region.
Massoud Pezishkiyan became the elected president of the people by winning the majority of votes in the second stage of the 14th presidential election.
The spokesperson of the country’s election headquarters announced the final results of the counting of the 14th round of the presidential election.
The total number of votes received in all branches inside and outside the country is 30 million 530 thousand 157, based on which, the number of votes for Masoud Pezishkiyan is 16 million 384 thousand 403 and the number of votes for Saeed Jalili is 13 million 538 thousand 179.
