Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced rolling out an ‘automatic album’ feature for channels.
According to WaBetaInfo, once the album is shared, multiple consecutive images or videos will be automatically organised in the WhatsApp channel.
This update is available to some beta testers as of yet and will be rolled out for more people over the coming days.
The instant messaging app keeps bringing new and innovative features for its users to provide a smooth experience and more intuitive ways to interact with media content within channels.
“When channel admins share multiple consecutive images or videos in a channel, WhatsApp now automatically organises them into a unified album, and channel followers can conveniently tap on the automatic album to access the entire collection,” said the WhatsApp news watcher.
This feature was not available for channels before. Moreover, the photos and videos shared in the album support channel reactions. This new feature would help enhance the media organisation and accessibility for channel followers.
Users will be able to tap on the automatic album to access and browse through the entire collection.
