Meta-owned WhatsApp is bringing a new update that would allow users to filter out chats, WaBetaInfo reported.
According to the WhatsApp watcher, the messaging app has submitted the update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 23.25.10.76.
The feature, called filter chats, is available to some beta testers and more users will be able to use it in the coming weeks.
Through this feature, users would be able to quickly identify and access specific types of conversations based on their preferences.
The screenshot here shows that WhatsApp is introducing a fresh filter row to provide users with new actions.
The app offers enhanced functionality so that users can easily manage their conversations. They are also allowing users to retrieve a list of unread chats that would make it easier for them to choose which messages they want to respond to.
“Users also have the option to filter their chats exclusively to display those from their contacts, further enhancing the customisation and organisation of their messaging experience,” said WaBetaInfo.
Users can also get a list of group chats, which will let them manage and engage on a priority basis.
WhatsApp keeps improving the user experience and this new feature would give users more control over conversations. Those who install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS will be able to use this feature.
