Pak Sahafat – The Egyptian Foreign Minister, while expressing hope for the strengthening of relations between Cairo and Ankara, evaluated the establishment of good relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia as a positive development.
According to the report of Pak Sahafat News Agency International Group, “Sameh Shukri” gave an interview to the Turkish “TRT” channel on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and answered various questions of this media about bilateral relations between Cairo and Ankara, regional and global issues.
In response to a question about the cooperation between this country and Turkey in the field of energy, Egypt’s foreign minister said: “Egypt is the host of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum, and we, especially considering the increasing reliance and needs of our friends in Europe for gas due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, We hope to establish better coordination among the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean region. We are still in the process of finding the potential for cooperation. “Turkey is currently an important importer of Egyptian gas, and we hope that this is an area for the development of coordination and that we can develop cooperation in this field.”

Sameh Shukri replied: “In my opinion, there is an international consensus about what needs to be done. Basically, this consensus is that the undeniable and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people must be supported to determine the right of destiny to move towards the creation of their independent state, and the two-state solution is still an issue on which there is consensus in the international arena, but unfortunately the process of achieving this goal have not been successful, and there is a break in order to achieve a real progress.
