10% of Russian voters still did not choose the desired candidate in the presidential election

PNN – Valery Fedorov of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center said that 10% of the voters of the upcoming presidential election in this country are undecided and have not yet decided to choose their desired candidate.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by the Russian news agency TASS; Due to the small number of undecided voters, sociologists did not record any significant changes in the election campaign, Fedorov added.

He continued, the majority of people have basically decided who to vote for and why.

The Federation Council or the Upper House of the Russian Parliament first set March 17, 2024 as the date of the presidential election. The Central Election Commission of Russia later announced that voting will be held over three days, from March 15 to 17, and this period will be the first three-day presidential election in Russia.

According to official Russian authorities, 114 million 212 thousand 734 people are eligible to participate in the presidential elections of this country, of which 112 million 309 thousand 947 people live in Russia. The number of Russian citizens eligible to participate in this election abroad is reported to be 1,890,863. 11,924 people will participate in the Baikonur space base, which is the territory of the Russians in Kazakhstan.

93,920 polling stations are expected to be used by Russian citizens, of which 93,644 are inside the country and 269 are outside the country. Seven polling stations will also be active in Baikonur.

Vladimir Putin (current president), Vladislav Davankov (New People’s Party), Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party) and Leonid Slutsky (Liberal Democratic Party) are candidates for the presidential election of this country.

The Russian Public Opinion Research Center previously announced: The results of this center’s survey show that Russian President Vladimir Putin will win the upcoming presidential elections with 82% of the votes, and the Russians’ electoral participation rate will be 71%.

This opinion polling center added: In this election, Nikolai Kharitonov, the candidate of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, and Vladislav Davankov, the candidate of the New People’s Party, are expected to get 6% of the votes each and come in second and third place.
