PNN – An Afghan government source reported that 25 civilians were killed in a Pakistani airstrike on Nangarhar province in the east of the country.
A police spokesman for Nangarhar in eastern Afghanistan added: 25 civilians were killed in a series of airstrikes by the Pakistani army on Saturday night and Sunday morning in this province.
An unnamed Nangarhar police spokesman added: Seventeen civilians, including women and children, were killed in a Pakistani airstrike that directly targeted a house in Nangarhar province.
Without mentioning the number of injured, he added: Dozens of people were also injured in these attacks.
According to Afghan media reports, Pakistani army airstrikes on Saturday night and Sunday morning targeted areas in the eastern provinces of Paktia and Nangarhar in the east of the country.
Local sources said the bombing was carried out in densely populated areas and caused heavy casualties and extensive damage to public property.
