260 million dollars, the daily cost of Israel’s war against Gaza.
As Israel’s war against Hamas costs the economy about $260 million a day, payments to ultra-Orthodox schools and other causes supported by the right wing of the ruling coalition have backfired on Benjamin Netanyahu, Bloomberg reported Sunday.
According to the report, the war is more expensive for Israel than first anticipated, putting a strain on public finances.
Bloomberg stated that the budget deficit of the Israeli government increased more than seven times in October compared to last year.
But the allocation of financial resources to the war has kept the markets at risk, while Israeli Finance Minister Betsalel Smotrich prepares to present a new budget for next year in a few days.
