3 Arab countries react to Ben Gvir’s entry into Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyard.
According to Russia Today, the Israeli Minister of Internal Security Ben Guer’s attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque prompted a reaction from three Arab countries.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan condemned the actions of the Israeli regime, including the attack by the regime’s Minister of Internal Security on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a statement strongly condemning the continuous aggressions of the Israeli regime, including the attack by the regime’s Minister of National Security on the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the infiltration and invasion of southern Syria by the occupying forces.
The statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry states: “These systematic Israeli actions in Al-Aqsa Mosque are a clear and provocative attack on the feelings of Muslims around the world, while the continuation of military operations in Syria is also an attempt to destroy the chances of returning security and stability to this country.”
Egypt also condemned in the strongest possible tone and terms the attack by the Israeli Minister of National Security on Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupying regime’s police, calling this action a provocative and completely unacceptable step.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated: These extremist actions are a clear violation of the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque and show disrespect and inflame the feelings of Muslims around the world.
Cairo called on Tel Aviv to adhere to its obligations as an occupying power and respect the status of Al-Aqsa Mosque as a special place of worship for Muslims.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed the need for decisive action by the international community, especially the Security Council, against these actions and called for an end to these violations, which will destroy opportunities for peaceful coexistence.
Jordan also condemned the ongoing violations by the Zionist regime in Al-Aqsa Mosque, including the entry of a large number of extremists into the mosque and the carrying out of provocative actions under the patronage of the occupying forces.
Haitham Aboul-Foul, the official spokesman for the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, called these actions by the Zionist regime unacceptable and, while condemning them, described such actions as a violation of the historical and legal status of the mosque as well as international law.
Abul-Foul emphasized that the entire area of Al-Aqsa Mosque is a special place for Muslims to worship, and the Jordanian Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department is the only legal authority to manage the affairs of the sanctuary and monitor entry to it, and we emphasize the need to stop these violations and respect the sanctity of the mosque and its historical and legal status.
