3 assassination attempts against Trump; Why didn’t the fate of election contests change?

In 2024, at the same time as the beginning of the American presidential election, there were several unsuccessful attempts to assassinate Donald Trump, the candidate of the Republican Party and the former president of the country.

The first and most controversial of these events occurred during the election rally on the evening of July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, USA. A 20-year-old man named “Thomas Matthew Crooks” shot several bullets at Trump from a distance of tens of meters from his semi-automatic rifle, one of which hit his ear and three others hit the audience. During this incident, two people, including the shooter, were killed and two others were injured.

Subsequently, on September 15, 2024, there was another attempt to assassinate Trump while he was playing golf at his international golf club in Florida. The attacker, who was hiding in the bushes, was identified by a security officer and arrested after trying to escape. This person tried to shoot Trump, but was thwarted by the quick action of the Secret Service.

These incidents have led to increased security concerns for Trump and other 2024 presidential candidates, and increased security measures for his public events, including the use of bulletproof glass during public speeches.
