PNN – The director of the Shifa Medical Complex announced that 320,000 children in the Gaza Strip are facing malnutrition, of which 17,000 are suffering from acute malnutrition.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Al-Arabi, Muhammad Abu Salmiya, director of the Shafa Medical Complex, announced that 320,000 children in the Gaza Strip are facing malnutrition, of which 17,000 children are suffering from acute malnutrition.

He emphasized that hospitals can only keep children alive temporarily by injecting medical solutions, but these measures are not considered a complete cure.

Emphasizing that, by global standards, Gaza is grappling with a real famine, he called on the United Nations to declare the region a famine-stricken region.

He also said: We are unable to provide services due to the complete collapse of the health infrastructure. There is no drinking water in Gaza City and cases of digestive diseases have increased. 55,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffer from malnutrition. We cannot do anything for heart patients in Gaza.

The director of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex emphasized: International organizations have medical supplies, but they cannot bring them into Gaza because the occupiers do not allow it.
