PNN – A prominent analyst in the Arab world, examining Trump’s threats against Iran, emphasized Iran’s country’s strong response to any military aggression.
Abdul Bari Atwan, a prominent analyst in the Arab world, wrote in his editorial in the newspaper Rai al-Youm: The US President’s threats against Iran and sending military equipment to the region do not mean that an attack on the country is inevitable, because Trump is too timid to enter a war in the Middle East or other regions with only one aircraft carrier. His threats to use force against Iran, and earlier against Russia and China, and then to retreat from them, prove this fact.
Regarding this issue, we need to pay attention to four issues:
First, the announcement of a new strategy by the US Department of Defense, one of whose clauses was related to confronting Iran more actively by US allies in the region and supporting Israel, shows that the US does not want to enter various wars in the Middle East on behalf of others.
Second, the fear and panic that has prevailed in the occupied territories regarding Iran’s military response. The Zionist regime’s Channel 2 television reported that if Iran becomes certain that a US attack is imminent, it may launch a missile attack on Israel, which will cause massive economic damage and loss of life. The suspension of foreign flights to Tel Aviv proves this fact.
Third, Iranian officials have emphasized that the country will consider any attack by the United States, whether limited, widespread, or a precision strike, as a full-scale war and will respond to it with the strongest possible force. Iran will use every weapon at its disposal and is prepared for the worst-case scenarios.
Fourth, Iranian military and civilian officials know that the weakness of the US and Israel is entering a long-term war in the region and a war of attrition, so Tehran is likely to have set a long-term military strategy for itself and is using the results of the 12-day war. Even some in Iran are unhappy with the immediate acceptance of the ceasefire request.
