Gallant’s dismissal; crisis of distrust in the occupied territories increased.
Announcing the dismissal of Gallant from the Ministry of War, Netanyahu said: Today I decided to fire Gallant and appoint Katz in his place.
He added: The crisis of trust between me and Gallant did not allow me to manage the war.
The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime added: I am confident that with this action, the cabinet will work more coherently.
On the other hand, Gallant said: This dismissal is the result of differences with the Prime Minister on three issues.
He added: The first difference is that I believed that all those who are of military service age should join the army.
Gallant added: I think everyone should serve and no law should be passed that would exempt thousands of people from serving in the military.
He named the return of the Zionist prisoners from the Gaza Strip as the second issue of dispute with Netanyahu and said: It is possible to release the prisoners by making some concessions, even though some of these concessions are painful.
The deposed war minister of the Zionist regime added: The third dispute was about the investigation committee and my insistence on the necessity of forming an independent investigation committee.
