PNN – An American media outlet reported that the Russian president informed his American counterpart of Moscow’s decision to advance in Ukraine and escalate the war in a conversation earlier this month.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Axios news website reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin informed US President Donald Trump of Moscow’s decision to advance into key regions of Ukraine in a phone call on July 3.
According to Axios, Putin emphasized in that conversation that within the next 60 days, Moscow will take action by intensifying pressure to seize Ukrainian territory up to the sovereign borders of the areas where Russia has consolidated its foothold.
Axios also cited a source familiar with Trump’s call with French President Emmanuel Macron shortly after his conversation with Putin, writing that the US president said in the call that “he (Putin) wants to take over all of (Ukraine).”
In the days following this conversation, Trump’s plan to send more weapons to Ukraine went from idea to reality.
Trump told reporters today that the weapons he will send to Ukraine via European countries are “a variety of very advanced military equipment, including Patriot air defense batteries.”
According to him, European countries intend to pay up to 100% of the cost of these weapons, and this is a “trade” for the United States.
He also criticized Putin once again, claiming that the Russian president, on the one hand, says he wants peace, and on the other, he is escalating attacks on Ukraine.
