PNN – 70 officials, diplomats and former American military officers asked the President of the United States, Joe Biden, to adopt a tougher stance towards the Zionist regime. Â
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Reuters, this group wrote in an open letter to Biden: The United States should warn Israel of the serious consequences of ignoring the civil rights and basic needs of Palestinians and expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank.
In this open letter, it is stated: America should take concrete measures to oppose such actions by Israel by using levers such as limiting Washington’s aid to Tel Aviv and put pressure on them.
This letter adds: Israel’s operation (regime) in the Gaza Strip is intertwined with repeated violations of international laws, and the characteristic of this operation is the indiscriminate killing of civilians using methods contrary to international laws and the use of weapons such as aerial bombardment, which differ among the military in their goals.
In the continuation of this letter, it is stated: Israel violates international laws because tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians have been killed in Gaza during the attack of this regime’s army, the majority of whom are women and children, and the killing of civilians with this cruelty and on such a large scale is unacceptable.

In the continuation of this open letter, Biden’s request for an immediate ceasefire of at least 6 weeks, the establishment of a reliable system for sending humanitarian aid to Gaza and the release of Israeli prisoners is strongly supported.
Among the signatories of this open letter, the names of more than a dozen former ambassadors, other retired officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and former officials of the Pentagon, the US Department of Intelligence and the White House, including Anthony Lake, the national security adviser of former US President Bill Clinton, can be seen.
On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, on November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and the Zionist regime.
This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on Friday morning (December 1, 2023) the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.
In order to retaliate against the “Al-Aqsa Storm” attacks, compensate for its defeat and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.
