PNN – The Secretary General of the Iraqi Brigades of the Sayyid al-Shuhada, referring to the flight of a thousand Americans out of fear of war, announced that resistance groups have begun the second phase of the war.

It has only been a few days since America’s ill-considered adventure in the Middle East began, and about 70,000 Americans, including military and civilian personnel, fled the Middle East. Abu Alaa al-Walai, Secretary General of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades, one of the Iraqi resistance movements, announced the news: These people left the region with very bitter memories, and these memories will not leave them.

Iraqi resistance groups recently managed to shoot down a US tanker plane. While the deaths of 4 of the 6 passengers on board the tanker plane that was shot down in western Iraq were confirmed and the fate of two other soldiers was unclear, CENTCOM confirmed the deaths of all passengers on the plane minutes before. Following the intensification of Iraqi resistance operations and after a French soldier was killed and several others were injured in Erbil, Italy has now announced that it is withdrawing 100 of its military personnel from Iraqi Kurdistan. A total of 300 Italian military personnel are stationed in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Al-Walai also pointed out that American soldiers had similar memories after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and continued: Many of these people were sent to mental hospitals at that time. It used to be easy to enter West Asia, but today it has become expensive to leave. The Iraqi resistance commander finally warned the Americans: The Islamic resistance has begun the second phase [of the war]. This phase represents a transition to a new plan of pressure and deterrence, in a way that makes the continued presence of the occupiers in this land more costly every day.
