77 years of living under the constant shadow of war and mental exhaustion.

Living under the shadow of war erodes the soul and spirit of a human being. The recent 12-day imposed war with the Zionist regime, although it was responded to with legitimate and crushing defense by Iran and the empathy and unity of the people brought hearts closer, affected the psyche of our country’s citizens for nearly 2 weeks and raised the question in our minds: how have the citizens of the occupying regime been living under the heavy shadow of war and the heavy burden of responsibility for aggression for so many years and survived in the occupied territories, and why do they not return to their ancestral homeland to have a normal life?

Many believe that the incentive policies and privileges granted by the Zionist regime to attract Jewish immigrants from all over the world on the one hand and the inevitable deportation of Jews, especially from European countries, to Israel due to their mistreatment on the other, as well as the regime’s strict policies on reverse immigration, all have the growth of Israel’s population on the agenda, a goal that, despite reverse immigration, faces challenges on the way to achieving.

Slow immigration to the occupied territories

However, according to the Macrotrends database and statistical analysis, which examines historical data and long-term charts in various areas, including demographic trends, net immigration to Israel in 2023 decreased by about 80% compared to 2022. According to the Jerusalem Post, in 2023, more than 55,400 people emigrated from Israel, which is an unprecedented record. This immigration was mainly from wealthy areas such as Tel Aviv, Haifa, and the center of the regime. Many immigrants are in their 20s or 30s and have a high education and professional skills.

Of course, before that, in 2021, a wave of Jewish immigration from Ukraine had caused a 196.6% increase in immigration. Before that, in 2020, immigration also grew by 1.73%. For 2024, immigration also experienced an increase of about 6%. The increase in immigration in 2024 is reportedly due to the rise in anti-Semitism in Europe and the United States following the 7/11 attacks and the massive Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.

Except the mid-1980s, the net immigration rate to Israel has always been positive, although the growth has been very slow and gradual, according to the database.
