PNN – According to the results of the largest public opinion poll in the Arab world, 87 percent of Arabs oppose recognizing Israel.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, according to the results of the Arab Public Opinion Index 2025 survey, conducted by the “Arab Center in Washington” and considered the largest public opinion survey in the Arab world, 28% of Arab citizens in 15 Arab countries consider the Zionist regime to be the greatest threat to their countries.

The survey was conducted between November 2024 and August 2025 and included 40,130 face-to-face interviews in 15 Arab countries.

According to the survey results, the highest level of perception of Israel as a threat was recorded in the Arab East (Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria) with 58 percent. This was followed by the Nile Valley region (Egypt and Sudan) with 38 percent. In contrast, this figure was only 9 percent in the Western Arab and the Persian Gulf countries.

The survey shows that 80 percent of Arabs consider the Palestinian issue to be a collective Arab issue, and only 12 percent consider it to be a purely Palestinian issue. This view reaches over 90 percent in countries such as Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, and Kuwait.

According to the findings, 87 percent of participants oppose recognizing Israel, while only 6 percent support it. Opponents describe the Zionist regime as “a colonial, settler, and expansionist state.” In contrast, half of those in favor considered recognition of Israel conditional on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, at 61 percent, recorded the lowest level of opposition to normalization of relations; although a significant percentage of respondents also declined to comment.
