A blow to the Israeli intelligence service: a senior official resigns.
According to Sama News Agency, a Zionist media outlet reported on Sunday morning that the Gaza Army’s top intelligence officer has resigned due to the failure of the October 7 attack (Al-Aqsa Storm).
According to this Palestinian news source, this decision follows the resignation of Brigadier General Haim Cohen, commander of the Gaza Army’s Northern Brigade, as well as the resignation of another intelligence officer, Colonel Avi Rosenwild, who resigned from his position last summer due to the same failure.
The resignations of these officers reflect widespread internal pressure on the Israeli security and military forces after the October 7 attack, which has been accompanied by serious criticism of the regime’s security performance.
