A Critical Look at Trump’s Proposed Gaza Plan.

According to Al-Mayadeen, Axios, citing American and Arab sources, claimed that US President Donald Trump is scheduled to present his proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza and the future of the Strip during a meeting with leaders of Arab and Islamic countries on Tuesday.

The report states that the so-called regional peace plan will be discussed with representatives of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan at the meeting.

The Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the mechanism for managing the Strip in the post-war period without the presence of Hamas will be discussed at the meeting.

The sources added that the US is seeking to convince the above-mentioned countries to participate in sending troops to Gaza to help manage the Strip, along with financial support for its reconstruction.

This comes at a time when the US vetoed a draft Security Council resolution to stop the war in Gaza despite the agreement of 14 countries. It should be noted that despite his full support for the Zionist regime, Trump is trying to present himself as an agent of peace in the Gaza Strip by presenting such plans.
