A cry for Gaza in the heart of London; protests against the crimes of the Israeli regime continue

PNN – Thousands of Palestinian supporters demonstrated in central London today, once again expressing their opposition to Britain’s military and political support for Israel.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, The protest, which started in Piccadilly Circus and continued towards the Prime Minister’s Office (opposite Downing Street), is the second largest demonstration in London since the ceasefire in Gaza was announced. Demonstrators, holding Palestinian flags and placards with slogans such as “Free Palestine” and “Stop supporting Israel”, demanded an end to London’s arms and diplomatic support for Tel Aviv.

The demonstration came as the British government imposed strict restrictions on anti-Israeli gatherings. In previous demonstrations, a number of participants, including members of human rights organizations, were arrested by police. Despite these restrictions, protesters announced that they would continue their protests until Palestine is liberated.

Bin Jamal, head of the “Solidarity Movement with the Palestinian People” and one of the organizers of the demonstration, said: We are here today to send a clear message to the British government: Stop colluding with Israel.

He added: The British government has turned a blind eye to Israel’s blatant crimes, from the water and electricity cuts in Gaza to the relentless attacks on civilians. While the UN has published reports on the Israeli army’s use of sexual violence against Palestinians, our government has not said a single word condemning these crimes.

The UN also said that the Israeli military has deliberately targeted health infrastructure and services in Gaza, causing increased hunger, severely restricting access to medical services, and a widespread humanitarian crisis. These actions are classified as war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law.

Despite the publication of this shocking report, the British government has so far refused to condemn these crimes and continues its military and diplomatic support for the Israeli regime.

One participant, who identified himself as Emilia Wilson, a student at the University of London, said: I am here today because I cannot remain indifferent to the silence of the British government. They want to intimidate us, they want us to stop protesting, but they cannot silence the voice of truth.

Michael Turner, a human rights activist who has attended several pro-Palestinian rallies in recent months, also said: The Starmer government keeps talking about democracy and human rights, but when it comes to Israeli crimes, it is silent. This silence is an endorsement of their complicity in crimes against the Palestinian people.

Today’s demonstration is just one in a series of widespread protests against Britain’s support for Israel. In recent months, thousands of people have repeatedly gathered in the streets of London and other cities in the country to protest the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza. On the one hand, the British police have tried to limit these protests by applying strict laws, but the protesters insist that they will continue their demonstrations until the end of the occupation.
