A doctor in the US was fired for supporting Hamas and Hezbollah

PNN – A doctor working at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, USA, was fired from her job for supporting Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the New York Post newspaper wrote on Saturday, quoting a spokesperson for the hospital, this doctor, Dr. Leila Abbasi, had posted messages on social media in support of resistance groups and was fired earlier this month (March).

Abbasi, 46, wrote in these messages: “Long live Hamas and Hezbollah.” She also called the Israeli army a “plague” and accused the regime of “killing children.”

US President Donald Trump has accused foreign pro-Palestinian protesters in the United States of supporting Hamas, being anti-Semitic and creating obstacles to US foreign policy, and has called for their deportation.

Protesters, including some Jewish groups, reject such claims and say the Trump administration confuses their criticism of the Israeli regime’s attack on Gaza and defense of Palestinian rights with anti-Semitism and support for Hamas.

The occupying regime of Jerusalem has launched a massive genocidal operation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, as a result of which tens of thousands of Palestinians have been martyred and injured, and most of the victims of these attacks are women and children. Also, more than 14,000 people have gone missing in these attacks.

The number of martyrs in Gaza since October 7, 2023, when Operation Al-Aqsa Storm began, has reached 50,277, and the number of injured has reached 114,095.
