A new development in the field of the Hajj case between Saudi Arabia and Syria.
According to al-Arabi al-Jadid, Syrian sources announced the resumption of Hajj flights from Syria to Saudi Arabia after a 12-year hiatus.
The Ministry of Awqaf of Syria announced the beginning of the registration of pilgrims for the new season of Hajj for the first time in the last 12 years, and by publishing a post on its official page on Facebook, it announced that the registration of the season of Hajj in 1445 AH is from Monday, April 1st to The 9th of this month will be done through electronic centers designated for this purpose in the Ministry of Interior of Syria.
Meanwhile, since 2013, Saudi Arabia has handed over the Hajj file for Syria to the High Hajj Committee of this country, which is a branch of the Syrian opposition coalition.
Saudi Arabia and Syria resumed their relations in 2023 and Damascus appointed an ambassador in Riyadh.
