A senior member of the US Congress: American soldiers stationed in the Middle East are still in danger

PNN – In the midst of the escalation of tensions caused by the Israeli regime’s recent air attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Mike Turner, the Republican representative of the state of Ohio and the chairman of the intelligence committee of the US House, claimed that the danger still threatens the American military stationed in the Middle East.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, in an interview with CNN, he claimed: Iran’s proxy forces continue to attack the American forces stationed in the region, and the Biden administration is also slow to react to these attacks.

He also said: America has transferred more forces and equipment to the region to prevent Iran from directly conflicting with Israel, although its (Iran’s) proxy force is Hamas, which is directly involved.

Turner added: Iran’s consulate in Syria is a legitimate goal for Israel because Iran is the source of all current events.

He admitted that while Washington is trying to keep Iran away from the war in Gaza, Israel’s attack on the consulate in Damascus was not a wise thing to do, and the promise of retaliation against Iran will certainly increase the tension in the entire region.

NBC wrote that while the United States categorically denied any involvement in the Zionist regime’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, American officials are worried that Iran’s retaliatory action will affect American forces in the region.

According to these officials, American forces stationed in the region are currently on high alert.

A senior US government official also told CNN that Washington is on high alert and is actively preparing for a “significant” strike that could be launched by Iran this week, targeting Israeli or US assets in the region.
