A tank was stolen from an Israeli army camp.

Today (Wednesday) evening, the Israeli police announced the theft of the “Merkava-2” tank from one of the training bases of the Israeli army.

According to the report of “Arab48” news site, this base was located in the vicinity of “Eliakim” road (north of the occupied territories) and the Zionist regime police has started its investigation about the theft of this tank.

Until the moment of publication of this report, the police forces have arrested two suspicious people aged between 40 and 50 from the residents of Tiberias and Haifa due to their possible involvement in the theft of this tank.

The Israeli police say that on Tuesday evening (yesterday), they received a report from the Ministry of War about the theft of a tank from the army training base, and after receiving this report, they started their investigation until they found the tank in a waste disposal site in the area. “Nisher” was found in the vicinity of Haifa.

A police statement claimed: “Initial investigations indicate that the tank is not working and that it was stolen for reasons we are investigating.”

In this statement, it is also claimed that this tank is not equipped with weapons and its systems are not working. The Israeli army and the police forces of this regime have started a joint investigation in this regard.

This is not the first time that Israeli military bases are stolen. So far, cartridges and ammunition have been stolen many times from army bases.
