The finance minister of the Government of Change and Construction in Sanaa has exposed what he described as the most dangerous economic conspiracy by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates against Yemen.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Masirah, Abduljabbar Ahmed, the finance minister of the Government of Change and Construction in Sanaa, said in a social media post that the Saudi and Emirati regimes have carried out numerous conspiracies against Yemen’s economy, but the most dangerous of them, which amounts to a crime, is turning Yemen into a permanent consumer market for their own products, eliminating the drivers of growth and transforming the country into a poor state suffering endless unemployment.

Referring to the recklessness of Yemen’s former regime over several decades, which contributed to the destruction of the country’s economic system, he added that Saudi Arabia and the UAE, for example, buy fruits from the Yemeni market at the lowest prices, then turn them into concentrates and juices by adding artificial flavorings, water, and sugar, and re-export them to Yemen to be sold at the highest prices.
Abduljabbar Ahmed stressed that these countries block the import of domestically produced Yemeni goods and only accept raw materials, as they benefit from them.
