PNN – As Israeli settlement development policies in the West Bank intensify, local sources report the installation of new signs aimed at imposing a false Jewish identity and changing the realities on the ground.
In Gaza, one of these new signs, which were installed within the framework of implementing recent Israeli cabinet decisions, reads: Welcome to northern Samaria, we have returned home.
A phrase that appears symbolic, but in practice is part of the ongoing process of confiscating Palestinian land and establishing Zionist settlement policies.
It is worth noting that these new billboards have been installed at the entrance to the town of “Buzaria” in the northern West Bank, and according to experts and analysts on Palestinian issues, they symbolize the beginning of a new phase in the project of changing names and imposing the Zionist narrative on the geography of this Arab and Muslim country.
These analysts believe that what is approved in closed-door meetings of the Israeli cabinet is quickly implemented in the field, from issuing new construction permits to changing billboards and the names of Palestinian areas.
These actions by the Zionist regime are taking place at a time when the international community has repeatedly considered illegal settlement construction in occupied territories to be contrary to international law.
Experts warn that the continuation of such policies by the leaders of the Zionist regime could increase tensions in the West Bank and pose a more serious challenge to the prospects of any just political solution to the Palestinian issue.
