According to the results of a survey, most of the British want an arms embargo on Israel and a ceasefire in Gaza

PNN – The results of the latest survey conducted in England show that most of the people of this country want an arms embargo on the Zionist regime and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network the findings of the prestigious Yugao Institute indicate that 56 percent of British people want the country’s government to suspend the license to export weapons to the Zionist regime during the war in Gaza. Of this amount, 36% strongly support stopping the sale of weapons and 20% support this plan. On the other hand, 9% do not agree with this plan and 11% strongly disagree.

On the other hand, statistics show that the level of public support in the UK for establishing an immediate ceasefire in Gaza is high. According to the findings of the Yogav Institute, 69% of British people believe that the Zionist regime should end military operations in Gaza and agree to a ceasefire. On the other hand, only 13% are against stopping the conflicts in this region.

However, the number of supporters of the Zionist regime in England who want the participation of this regime in the peace talks has been increasing in recent months. According to statistics, 58% of supporters of the Israeli regime believe that this regime should participate in peace talks with Hamas. Of course, this is the opinion of 70% of all those who participated in the Yugao survey.

According to the research, British people sympathize more with the Palestinians than the residents of the occupied territories. Statistical data shows that 29% support the Palestinian people and 16% support the Israelis. 23% support the people of both sides.

These statistics are published while supporters of Palestine have held dozens of demonstrations and marches in different British cities in the past seven months and have declared solidarity with the oppressed and defenseless people of this country. According to the announced plan, protesters are going to demonstrate in London for the 31st week in a row and on the occasion of the Nakbat anniversary.

At the same time, hundreds of pro-Palestinian students, following the example of American university students, set up tents in the university campus and increased the pressure to boycott the Zionist regime.

Students in various English cities, including London, Manchester, Bristol, Newcastle and Leeds, are asking the authorities of their universities to end academic relations with Israeli institutions. They also want British universities to stop investing in companies that produce weapons for the Zionist regime or Israeli businesses.

It should be noted that the protests in England to stop the arms cooperation between this country and the Zionist regime are increasing following the increase in the number of martyrs in Gaza and this regime’s plan to attack the border city of Rafah, where more than one million displaced Palestinians have taken refuge.

Not long ago, the representatives of pro-Palestinian groups delivered a petition to the British Prime Minister’s office and demanded an arms embargo on the Zionist regime. Dozens of English legislators made such a request last month in 2 separate letters to David Cameron, the foreign minister of this country.

Also, the Scottish National Party, the Liberal Democrats and the former British National Security Advisor are among the parties and elements that have demanded the immediate suspension of arms sales licenses to Israel.

The Labor Party, as the second largest party in England, also says that if the government lawyers believe that the Israeli regime has violated international laws, the sale of weapons to this regime should be stopped.

During the past seven months, the Zionist regime has launched a massive massacre in Gaza and, while closing all the crossings and preventing the arrival of relief aid, has turned this area into a ruin.

This regime also plans to attack the border city of Rafah, where more than one million Palestinians have taken refuge, under the pretext of destroying Hamas. This issue has aroused international concern and they have warned the Zionist regime that such an action will worsen the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Last month, the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution in support of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the immediate transfer of humanitarian aid; But the Zionist regime, with the full support of Washington, has ignored this resolution and continues to kill the Palestinian people.

According to reports, more than 34,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 77,000 others have been injured in the attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip.
