Acknowledgment of the Washington Post; the heroic martyrdom of “Senwar” in the field disgraced the Israeli narrative

PNN – The “Washington Post” newspaper, in an analysis of the martyrdom of “Yahya Senwar”, the leader of Hamas, considered it a trump card for the Palestinian resistance movement and emphasized: The release of the film of the last moments of Senwar’s life was another defeat for Israel in the battle of narratives, which showed the world a warrior and brave hero.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from this American media, By publishing pictures of the last moments of the life of Yahya Sanwar, the head of the political office of Hamas, Israel tried to present him as a coward and a fugitive who was eventually killed by Israeli forces, but these pictures are proof of courage and spirit among many people of the world.

The Washington Post added: Senwar’s supporters used the same images and glorified him as a fighter fighting – and not hiding in a tunnel and running away from the war – with stories of his body being dusty and the weapon in his hand. Many viewers of this video do not only consider it a sign of failure and humiliation, but also emphasize that even throwing a piece of wood at the Israeli drone by Senwar showed the peak of his strength and spirit of resistance.

According to regional experts, Israel is losing the propaganda war, at least in most Arab countries. Within a few hours, published images of the last moments of Senwar’s life were posted by Israeli forces on posters and plastered walls in Jenin and other areas of the West Bank. Users on Arabic social networks turned them into memes (a common cyber term) to celebrate what they perceived as a “heroic ending”.

Referring to the recent statement of Iran’s representative at the United Nations, this report wrote: The Iranians predict that the published pictures of Senwar, who is “standing in combat clothes, in the battle of war and face to face with the enemy”, will make his allies stronger.

Beverly Milton Edwards, a senior member of the Middle East Council on Global Affairs, described the images as a victory for Hamas “in the battle of narratives” and said: The Iranians are right. The report, along with the photos and videos that followed, starkly contradicted repeated Israeli accounts that he was hiding underground and using Israeli prisoners as human shields. He added: These images will probably lead to “more support for Hamas, more Palestinians joining it and increasing the resistance motivation.”

The Washington Post quoted a person close to Israel’s top security leadership who asked not to be named, wrote: The main audience that Israeli officials had in mind when releasing the images was the people of Israel. Because Senwar was Israel’s number one enemy and Israeli officials thought it was important to provide immediate and irrefutable proof of his death. But according to Michael Milstein, the former chief of Palestinian civilian affairs in the Israeli army, the release of these images only helps to mythologize Senwar.
